INTRODUCTION

The European Procurement Forum is a not for
profit organization whose purpose is to facilitate
activities that promote UN-Procurement from
EU-companies. EUPF has been founded by the
EU-trade representatives to the United
Nations Offices in New York City. One of our core
activities is to organize an annual seminar to offer European
companies the opportunity to offer their services
to the UN-Procurement division. Our next seminar for companies
will be the 9th Annual EUPF Seminar from April 23-25.
9th Annual EUPF Seminar
We encourage companies (and representatives
from organizations who wish to engage in UN
tenders directly) to register for our annual EU
UN-Procurement Seminar that will be held in April
2012. Registration for the 9th Annual Seminar
will open on the 16th of January 2012 at 15.00 hrs
CET sharp. Please register timely, as we only
have capacity for 150 companies.
In 2010 the overall procurement volume of UN-Organizations
increased to $14.5 billion, from $9.4 in 2006. The annual
increase of the procurement volume is attributable to most
UN-Organizations experiencing a boost in overall procurement.
This offers opportunities for the private sector. However,
companies do not always reach their full potential within the
UN-Market due to a variety of factors, such as unfamiliarity
with the UN-System and its opportunities, pitfalls, and lack
of personal networks.
A wide range of workshops will be offered in
order to enhance the participant's knowledge about
UN-Procurement. The workshops will also focus on
practical tips for dealing successfully with
UN-Procurement.
In general UN-Procurement focuses but is not
limited to a selection of the following
industries/fields.
- Engineering & Construction Services
- Security Goods & Services
- IT Services & Telecommunications
- Emergency Related Goods
- Logistics & Transportation
- Consultancy
- Environmental Technologies
Due to ongoing renovations at the
UN-Headquarters the main seminar will
take place at the Bohemian National Hall
on the Upper East Side in New York City.
